It is therefore very versatile and extremely popular among Jumpers as it can achieve more control when needed. Depending on the way the reins are being attached to the rings varying degrees of lever action intensify the rider‘s aids. The most effective results are achieved by the use of a second rein. KK ULTRA Universal This bit is also extremely versatile due to the different rein options. It is a good choice for sensitive horses as it is a little bit softer than model 40607, leading to a higher level of acceptance. The lever action has a slight delay due to the lateral offset position of the upper ring. Riders can additionally add a curb strap to get more direct action. The pressure on the poll is limited that way. KK ULTRA Full Cheek This bit lies quietly in the horse‘s mouth as the cheeks prevent the bit from being pulled through and therefore avoids inconvenient pressure on the back teeth. The mouthpiece remains in the correct central position of the tongue ensuring the rein aids work perfectly in the horse‘s mouth. The cheeks are most helpful with turning aids especially with young horses. The gentle pressure against the face on the outside of the turn supports the rider‘s aid making turns much easier for the horse to understand and for the rider to carry out. The upper part of the cheeks are curved outwards away from the horse to avoid uncomfortable pressure on the jaws. “To perform at the highest level regularly, everything must be right.
